Dorint Hotel München/Garching

I loved the location, and the room was excellent. The restaurant and breakfast service were amazing too. The price was unbeatable, though I was surprised beverages at breakfast cost extra. Usually drinks are included with breakfast.

Bogdan deserves a special mention as a true professional. The bar staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent, with a real focus on the guests’ experience.

The rooms are spacious and well equipped, and the location isn’t too bad. Still, I don’t recommend this hotel. Parking cost me 30% of my room price, which makes no sense, though that wasn’t the main problem. The hotel was huge and less than half full on a weekday, yet the booking team put me in a first-floor room overlooking the delivery platform. I was woken by delivery workers at 3am, then again at 5am and 8am. Since it was my first stay and there were plenty of empty rooms, I’d expected them to try to make things right with an upgrade. Instead, I slept badly. I’m in Munich often, but next time I’ll stay somewhere else. Reception also gave me a very cold welcome.

The breakfast buffet was very nice and had lots to choose from. My room was spacious, with a great bathroom, and the location worked well, with a subway station within walking distance.
