We’d been hiking and weren’t hotel guests, but stopped by on a day when all the restaurants were closed. The woman working there kindly offered to make us homemade gulasch, even though the food was meant for guests only. It turned out to be the best I’ve ever tried. She also made a great coffee. The place feels incredibly cozy, and the staff put so much energy and enthusiasm into looking after guests.

Downstairs in the building, there’s a public lounge stocked with a nice range of drinks for different tastes. The place itself is small, charming, and cozy. My room was exceptionally clean, and the care put into the details really stood out.

I came for hiking, and this is a great base for lots of nearby tours. Hiking maps are available, or you can buy them there. The hosts were very friendly, breakfast was fantastic, and my functional room was very clean. I felt right at home. The setting is very rural, beside a cow pasture and horse paddock. There’s a mini-golf course, a trampoline, and a huge garden for children and adults alike. Guests can also use a refrigerator in the common room.
