Friesen-Lodge

The hosts are warm, friendly, and helpful, and the lodge is clean. It's furnished with care and style, so I felt at home right away. The windows could be a little darker, though that may not bother everyone. We'd love to come back :-)

The host was there in person to welcome us and hand over the keys, even though we arrived late in the evening. The room was comfortable, modern, and spotlessly clean, and room cleaning was available. My only small gripe is the sliding bathroom door: it doesn't lock, and it doesn't keep smells or sounds from carrying into the rest of the room. That's really nitpicking, though.

The garden has four beach chairs, with lots of space to relax. The owners are super friendly, and the newly renovated rooms are very well equipped, including free tea and coffee, with filters and pods. The bathroom doors are a minor drawback since they're sliding doors and don't close fully. Still, I highly recommend the accommodation!

The place was easy to settle into, with a spacious living and dining area for relaxing or working. The bed was very comfortable, and having two pillows to choose from was a nice touch. On the large balcony terrace there's a beach chair and dining and seating for four, with a view of trees and the neighbor's sheep, chickens, and ducks. Idyllic! :) Thomas and Ulrike have made a beautiful apartment building. Apartment number nine was full of stylish, cozy details, and I noticed them as soon as I walked in. It didn't feel like a hotel room or a standard vacation apartment, more like a nice balance between being away and still feeling at home. I had pleasant conversations with Thomas and Ulrike and would gladly recommend the Friesen-Lodge to vacationers and business travelers. Shops are within walking distance, and discount stores make it easy to do a bigger grocery shop. There are excellent food options within 2-3 km, enough to eat somewhere different almost every evening. Thanks so much for everything. I'd love to come back!
