Appart Hotel Heldt

We only stayed one night, but everything was just right. The room was clean, breakfast tasty, and the staff nice and polite. The woman looking after the coffee and food was especially helpful and brought us gluten-free buns. It's a quiet, provincial neighborhood, and we had a nice meal at El Mariachi Restaurant around the corner. We'll definitely book again.

The room was clean overall, and the beds were okay, though the pillows could have been better. We had an attic room with low ceilings. There was no coffee or tea, or a kettle, which would have been nice. We stayed one night and it was enough for that, but personally I wouldn't want to stay much longer.

Breakfast was good, and the WiFi worked okay. I stayed in one of the cheaper standard rooms in a hotel spread across three buildings. The bathroom heater was quite rusty. My main issue was how thin the walls were in the building my room was in. I could clearly hear my neighbors talking. It might be different in another building, but that's why I can't recommend the hotel if you're booking a standard room.

The stay at Hotel Heldt was okay, but I won't return. On the third day, housekeeping took my towels and didn't leave a new small one. They said the small towels hadn't been delivered that day, but I had to ask, and they could have left my old one. The breakfast was also only okay if you don't expect much. I've stayed in hotels with much better breakfast for almost the same price. The tablecloth hadn't been changed after breakfast. The man clearing up was wearing work trousers like an electrician, which didn't seem suitable for service staff, and he swept the dirt away with his hands. I found that unacceptable, especially since Corona is still a concern and breakfast wasn't served as a buffet, they handed you the items you wanted. There were problems earlier in the stay too. The key box didn't work, so someone had to come and open it for me. I didn't wait long, but still had to wait. On the second day the toilet wouldn't flush, so I had to call someone again. He said it had happened before, and I wondered why it hadn't been fixed so it wouldn't happen again. I've stayed at many hotels, but this was definitely the worst.
