Buonanotte

My room was beside the road, so it was noisy. The shared kitchen in the hallway for several rooms smelled sweet and everything was greasy. When there are problems, the owner doesn’t communicate.

We got a room at very short notice, just 40 minutes before check-in, and the owner was super nice. The furnishings were lovely, and they immediately offered to push the usually separate beds together, which I appreciated because I like sleeping next to my husband. It’s very clean and the price/performance ratio is excellent. I’d book again anytime!

We were left to find somewhere else to stay, and I think that’s the worst outcome. I won’t ask again or recommend this place. My partner and I had emailed in early August to reserve a room for two for late August, and I received written confirmation that it was booked and payment would be made on-site. When we arrived on the agreed day, there was no reservation. I could show the email correspondence, but was told every room was taken and it must have been a mistake. They said I should have contacted them two days beforehand, though nobody had mentioned that. The owner didn’t seem concerned about where we’d spend the night, and considered the matter settled by saying he was on vacation and it was probably his employee’s mistake. We’d relied on having a place to stay, and the error was definitely not ours. I find that completely unacceptable.

The landlords were nice, and the accommodation was clean with a very modern feel. But there’s no toaster or freezer, and the bedrooms face a main road, so I’m giving it 3 stars 😕
