Hotel Bremer Haus

Hotel Bremen Haus is my go-to for a short stay in the city. It’s a clean, simple budget hotel, with tidy rooms that have enough space and kind, helpful staff. Breakfast runs until about 11.00 and checkout is until 12.00. The dining area looks out onto a nice yard, and there’s a lobby where you can work or read, plus luggage storage. Prices start at 50€/ night. One improvement: it would be great to have two pillows per bed.

The hotel has kept its old furniture and local look so well that it all seems new. I also thought the breakfast was awesome. I’d like to stay again when I’m back in Bremen.

For a budget hotel, it stands well above the others. It’s good value, very clean, has a good breakfast, and the staff are really friendly. Happy customer.

The invoice issue was sorted out, and we eventually received correctly completed invoices. Still, I’ve never had a receptionist speak to me with such rudeness and lack of respect. It should have been a straightforward matter of correcting the details and giving the guests their invoices. At around 8 a.m. on 4 July, my colleague and I went to reception to ask for invoices for our stay from 29 June to 5 July. We spoke to the receptionist in English. After she printed them, we spotted mistakes, including wrong names and addresses. Errors can happen, and guests and reception staff should treat each other with kindness and understanding. Instead, the receptionist seemed impatient and unwilling to help, and made it clear she thought we were disturbing her and wasting her time. The invoice (rechnung 24168424) bears the signature 'Es bediente Sie: Selam Deboch'.
