The rooms are simple, clean, and functional, with what you need. The hotel is affordable and centrally located. The stairs are very steep, though, which could be hard for older guests or anyone with limited mobility. There's no breakfast, which may disappoint people who want to eat at the hotel. The bar and reception are also unmanned, making things feel a bit impersonal and sometimes harder to organize. If you want low-cost accommodation in a central spot without many extra services, it works. If you expect more comfort or service, it may not be the right fit.

I was very comfortable during my two-night stay and had no complaints. The buffet breakfast was excellent in both range and quality, and the spacious breakfast room opening onto a terrace made a nice impression. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There's also a secure parking lot behind the hotel. My single room was bright and lovely, tucked away at the back in a quiet spot. Despite the central location, the hotel was peaceful and I slept very well. The mattress was decent, the shower was large, and the bathroom had enough room for one person. The room also had a fridge, a large wardrobe, and a kettle with tea, instant coffee, sugar, and the like. At this price I wasn't expecting a five-star hotel. The somewhat run-down area near the main train station isn't the hotel's fault, and sadly feels pretty common in capital cities these days.

We got a fair deal for the price. We arrived in the evening and were gone again in the morning, and the room was clean and adequately furnished. We didn't see any staff during our stay, but got the key information through the doorbell. The bathroom smelled a bit musty as soon as we arrived, with damp, stuffy air. Using it didn't make things better, and the ventilation didn't do much either. Still, we felt comfortable otherwise! :)

The neighborhood is nice and quiet, and the big window looked out over courtyards and gardens. There's a veranda with seats in front of the building. We found a flexible arrangement that let us leave our luggage in the room after checkout. For a one- or two-night trip to Bremen, I'd recommend the hotel. It's small and inexpensive, and doesn't serve breakfast because of staff shortages. There is a minibar, and good bakeries and cafes nearby, so that wasn't an issue for us. The building isn't soundproof, though. We could hear the upstairs neighbors in our room and in the hallway, and the stairs are steep. There's no reception, you ring the bell when you arrive and they let you in. Parking is only on the public streets around the hotel, though you can use the area by Weser Stadium if needed. We couldn't find secure storage for our bikes. The hotel offered the veranda, but it's outside and there's no way to lock bikes there, so we found a better solution.
