It's a relaxed, very informal place, not a luxury stay. The rooms are simple but perfectly fine for sleeping over. The biggest advantage is the spot right beside the river and promenade.

Andrea welcomed us and was super friendly and informative, and the free coffee station was a treat. We had a very comfortable bed and a roomy bathroom. Almost everything was perfect, except the hot water. At first we had to let it run for a while, then it turned cold again a few seconds later. That's how we ended up taking showers, waiting for the warm water to come back. Apart from that, everything was great.

The hotel is right in the heart of Bremen's lively Schlachte district, and the price is good for a simple, comfortable stay. The rooms are basic and focused on function rather than luxury, but they feel welcoming. Their bathrooms were spotless and tidy, and the staff were lovely and friendly. They greeted us warmly and gave us useful tips for exploring Bremen. Thanks you to the host 🤝. For a comfortable base in the city that doesn't cost a fortune, it was a good choice.

The room, bed and bathroom were all clean, and the place is in a great location. There are lots of coffee places and bars nearby. We had breakfast at “Ma” next door, a lovely place. The Schnoor is an easy walk away, and at the main square you can find “Minkens”. You MUST try their orange-marzipan cookies. Another nice nearby spot is “Jackie Su”. There's also a coffee machine, water tank, different teas and a kettle in a hallway corner, all available 24/7. A few things to know before booking: we visited Kangarooms for a weekend, and although it's called a hotel, it felt more like an Airbnb. It's in a regular apartment building, with a hallway leading to the rooms and a door you can open only with your room key-card, which felt safe. The rest of the building is office space. There's no reception. The bar next door seems to belong to the hotel or have the same owner, and that's where Andrea gives you the keys and takes you to your room. Our room overlooked the Weserpromenade(river), and there was still a Christmas market along the street. It was quite noisy. We sleep through that kind of thing, but it could be a big issue for some people. There were ear plugs on the nightstand, though I don't know how well they work. It was a good stay, but a bit pricey for what you get, hence the 4 stars.

The room was modern and very clean, with a lovely view across the boulevard. If you're in a front room, the terraces are right below your window. Great if you like the sound of busy terraces, less ideal if you go to bed early.
