ATLANTIC Hotel Landgut Horn

The modern farmhouse feel is nice, and the place was clean, with a great breakfast. The tram into the city is just around the corner, too. A few things did let the stay down: the Wi-Fi in room 14 was really poor, and raising it the next morning didn’t help. During a two-night stay, there was no service because of a green policy that hadn’t been explained. I would’ve liked the bed made. It felt like too much of a cost cut. Also, hotel guests can’t get drinks or food on Mondays, which seemed odd. And please make the scrambled eggs fresh.

The hotel is beautiful, and the location is so quiet. Our room was spacious, clean, and tidy, and the staff spoke both English and German fluently. There were lots of tasty options at breakfast. My only suggestion would be to have the bar open on Mondays for people on holiday.

The reception team were welcoming and helpful, and the location worked well for where I needed to be. On Saturday evening, though, I was told there were no bar snacks to have with my drink, not even nuts or olives, just the full buffet. A more relaxed spot to enjoy an evening drink would have been nice.

The room was standard, and parking is free if you can find a space. At breakfast, though, the staff were very rude. I was shouted at for simply standing in front of the coffee machine: “Don’t touch! Don’t touch! Leave the machine!” As an English speaker, I felt I got a ruder attitude and different service from people at another table. I’ll avoid this hotel in future.
