The city and river views from the hotel’s riverside are lovely, and there’s a well-known German theater right next door with superb entertainment. Samir at the cocktail bar was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Happy Hour runs from 17:00-19:00, with all cocktails at Euro 6.00. The hotel was very clean and well organized, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast room overlooks the river Weser, the main river to the sea at Bremen Harbour. We traveled three hours from The Netherlands to see Bremen and came away with a good impression overall, though there are several things that could be better. The dry and wet steam room is excellent, but for some reason it stays closed all morning until 12:00. When I asked why, I got a “Computer says no” kind of response. Rooms facing the Bemen side overlook the main highway through Brmen, which stays busy all night, and the poor soundproofing means you hear the traffic. TV channels are limited, with no Dutch TV or Pathe, and the HDMI sockets don’t work, so I couldn’t stream from my phone or PC.

It’s about a 15-minute walk to the city centre, and tram number 3 gets you there easily too. The hotel is beside the river, with very clean rooms and a good breakfast. I wish there were more amenities, especially bar soap, since we’re allergic to gels. There wasn’t any water in our room, though one of the paper sleeves they use when there is water had been left there, so I’m not sure if it was forgotten.

There’s self check-in, and the room had a nice coffee machine. The hotel is beautiful and sits by the canal, with friendly staff. I asked for an iron, and it took a little while for the staff member to understand because the German word is completely different, but he was patient and eventually got it sorted. A very nice hotel in Bremen.

I stayed four nights while in Bremen for the classic motorshow. The hotel worked out perfectly: all the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was amazing. The exhibition Hall is a 45-minute walk away and the city center is 20 minutes on foot. There’s also a tram stop right in front and a large parking garage for anyone driving.

Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty to choose from: freshly made eggs in different styles, pancakes, juices, and more. Having it with a view of the Weser made it even better. The restaurant has great views too, and the hotel’s stylish interior and very clean rooms impressed me. The bar stays open late and still serves pizza into the evening. Staff were professional and friendly.
