Havenhome Bremerhaven

The apartment's location and size were good, and the kitchen had more than enough for breakfast. The furniture was a bit wobbly but still usable. The beds and cleanliness were the big problems: the mattresses were so worn that I could feel every spring, and it wasn't clean when we arrived. There was a dead moth in the bedroom and cobwebs on the ceilings throughout the apartment.

There was plenty of room for six, with clean, well-equipped rooms, a bathroom and a guest toilet. The location was great, and it would work well for a longer stay too. But we weren't told it was on the third floor and had no elevator. Even with only five of us eating, the dining space felt much too cramped. Maybe the coat rack in the hall could be moved and the kitchen table put there, or in the living room. The workmen didn't start until 8:30 a.m., but the noise was still unbelievable. It sounded like a giant ball was hitting a billiards cushion right next door, and nobody warned us about the work beforehand.

We booked this apartment on the spur of the moment, and it was great: modern, very clean, and superb. The only snag was that there was no toilet paper, even though there were two toilets, so we had to get some from the kiosk that evening. Best bring your own.

It was clean and tidy, and fine for four people. With any more than that, the kitchen especially gets much too small. Sadly, the view is terrible.
