Mosel-Landhaus

A lovely place, run by a lovely couple.

The upstairs terrace has a fantastic straight-on view of the Moselle. We had a great time there with wine and beer, and we’ll definitely come back. Jan, hope you don’t mind me teasing you again, hehe. IT WAS TOP !!!!! We got a warm welcome when we arrived, and everything was neat and well cared for. Our room had a beautiful river view, parking was right by the door, and charging our bikes in the big, secure garage was no problem. Breakfast was generous, varied, incredibly fresh, and clearly made with care.

We’ve stayed in plenty of B&Bs and hotels, and this one really stands out. Silvia and Jan make you feel welcome from the start, and the rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was well prepared, and they take great care of you, with time for a friendly chat too. The country house sits in an idyllic spot overlooking the Moselle, with lots to do nearby: walks through nature and vineyards, good bike paths, boat trips on the river, drives through the mountains, and a bus stop close at hand. There are plenty of affordable places to eat, and the famous Moselle wine is a must. You can park in front or nearby, and bikes can be kept indoors. Heartwarming, and highly recommended!

That evening we sat out on the B&B terrace, enjoying a glass of wine and Jan’s wonderful stories about his life. We’d had another comfortable night and another tasty breakfast, with a different mix of food than the day before. Earlier, we cycled along the Moselle through the villages to Zell, then visited the big shop there the next day before riding back around the river to the B&B. We slept well on the comfortable beds both nights, and the hosts were friendly. We’ll definitely return. Thanks, hostess Sylvia and host Jan.
