H+ Hotel Köln Brühl

The staff are really kind, and the inside has a cute feel. It's well placed, about 15 minutes from Phantasialand and close to Köln. Our room was large and equipped, though some of the furniture looked quite old and scratched. Breakfast was incredible, with a big selection of both savory and sweet food. There were enough choices for vegan, vegetarian, and lactose-free guests too.

It's a good choice if you're visiting Phantasialand, with the bus stop just two minutes away. The rooms were clean, the lobby was nice, and I was very happy with breakfast. The TV in our room didn't work, though. I told the receptionist, who said he'd check it. A few hours later it still wasn't working. I reported it again, and they said they'd fixed it, but that there was nothing they could do if it still didn't work. That was disappointing, since there's not much else to do in a small hotel. Apart from that, I'd recommend staying here and would come back.

The only small issue was that the way to the entrance could be easier to spot. We had a pleasant night, with clean, comfortable rooms, and the staff kindly checked us in at 4 a.m. Breakfast had lots of variety and was delicious.

The noise was constant and loud, coming from the rooms above us, and made sleeping impossible. When we raised it with the staff, they accused us of lying instead of trying to help. That was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The rooms were also very dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. Between the poor hygiene, noise, and rude staff, the stay was unbearable. I don't recommend this hotel and definitely won't return.
