Das Loft Apartments

The street noise made it impossible to sleep with the windows open, and there was no fan or AC. After the room had baked in the sun all day, keeping the windows shut at night was unbearable. From around 1 o’clock onward, homeless people and drug users gathered in the street for hours, shouting and screaming. The apartment entrance was strewn with burst ‘deal’ bags and tin foil with scorched residue. In the morning, while we waited for a taxi, one man came back for his lighter and foil and asked us for money. I never spoke with anyone representing the hotel, and there was no information book in the apartment. The room was poorly furnished, with just one semi-comfortable chair. Access also meant entering a six-digit code at the entrance, again for the floor, and once more for the room. Unless you’re fine with not sleeping, I wouldn’t stay here.

The amenities were very satisfying, and the place felt thoughtfully set up to give guests a full experience. A great stay right in the city centre. Keep it up.

The apartment was spacious for a one-room place, with a large balcony, private parking, and a central location. But the smell inside was really unpleasant, and the pillows were too big to sleep comfortably.

We stayed in a penthouse room with two beds. The AC worked well, and the balcony was pleasant, though the view didn’t match the description. The “garden view” was mostly air conditioners and a parking garage, with a rather sad rooftop garden off to the side. Our neighbors’ laundry kept blowing onto our balcony. If you looked past that toward the skyline, the sunsets were beautiful. The hotel is near sights and shops, and the kitchen is just big enough to reheat leftovers or make a very simple meal. It has a dishwasher, toaster, and microwave. The bathroom was only OK: it had just “shower gel,” and ventilation was poor despite the AC in the main room. Getting in there was awkward too, since the door opens toward the wall and into the main bed instead of out toward the kitchen and walking path. We didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t comment on it, though there was a cafe downstairs. I received a “self check in” PIN after booking, but it didn’t work for any of the doors. I’m not sure what it was for. Reception gave me a new PIN when I checked in in person.
