Breakfast was 10/10, and the rooms were clean. The drinks in the fridge were cheap, too. It’s a cozy place with friendly staff, close to the train and bus stop and Phantasialand. I’d happily go back.

The main downside was the heat. There’s no air conditioning, and even with the windows open at night and the shades down with windows shut during the day, our rooms stayed very warm. We were on the 3rd and 4th floors, and lower floors would probably be cooler. If you come in summer, I’d ask for the 1st or 2nd floor. Otherwise, Hotel am Stern is well located, and the rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast had lots of options and was very nice. The elevator was a big help with our 5 large suitcases.

Good transport links and a nice town. The hotel itself is simple and comfortable, with helpful, friendly staff. Check-in is refreshingly straightforward, and the spacious breakfast room is laid out nicely. Old-fashioned in a good way.

It’s right in the center, with easy bus, tram, and train connections to Bonn and Cologne. The hotel is very clean, and the professional staff can communicate in English, which was helpful. Highly recommend.

The breakfast could use more choices, but otherwise I’ve no complaints. It’s a very cozy hotel, and the staff are lovely and have a familiar, welcoming feel.
