Max and Petra, the landlords, were incredibly helpful and friendly. They provide a range of planned motorcycle tours and will even install them on your GPS. The place is also very good value, and I’d strongly recommend staying here for the service alone. It’s especially handy for motorcyclists wanting to explore the Bavarian Forrest, northern Austria, and Czech Republic.

Breakfast is served until 9:30 am and was okay, though I wouldn’t stay or eat here again. At dinner, the food tasted alright, but the steaks were tough and stringy, and the restaurant doesn’t take card payments. The receptionist wasn’t very nice. It’s a countryside hotel about 20 minutes by car from Passau. Check-in is only until 11 PM; if you go out later, they give you a key for the hotel and your room, as there’s no night manager. My room was quite large and had a balcony, which I liked. The bathroom was tiny, but seemed clean. The towel looked old and shabby. The mattress was hard, which I actually like, though the bed was very low.
