I had to move my room booking because my mother’s funeral was affected by bad weather, which postponed the burial at sea. I’d booked through Check 24, and they would have refunded everything as a goodwill gesture, but the guesthouse wouldn’t. They didn’t even consider offering a voucher, which is really sad when circumstances were beyond my control. Thanks for nothing. There was no humanity here.

Everything in Warnemünde is within walking distance, and the room was really nice and clean. The location is very good, right in the heart of town.

The smell of food and old grease was awful. You could notice it from the street, and it filled both the room and balcony so badly that airing them out didn’t help. Even the stairwell felt like walking into the restaurant kitchen. We weren’t warned about any of this, and our cancellation request was refused. I can’t sleep with that kind of smell. We absolutely can’t recommend this guesthouse.

We spent three nights at the guesthouse during a short break in Warnemünde. The location was excellent, in the second row from the river. The beds were a bit too soft for us, and firmer mattresses would have been better, though that’s a matter of personal taste.
