The apartment itself is okay, but it’s in the basement and very cold, which might work well in summer. For this price, there are better holiday apartments. Even regular TV channels aren’t available, and streaming doesn’t work because the TV uses a different router from the Wi-Fi. That’s pretty disappointing these days.
The property has potential, which makes its condition a real shame. We were told it was a luxury apartment, but it felt like a dump. The grounds are neglected, and the apartment and its contents are worn out and partly damaged. You’d only feel at ease here if you had no expectations.
We did feel comfortable otherwise, and the villa could be a real gem if the apartments and grounds were improved. But the grounds are neglected, so our first impression wasn’t good. The apartments are generally tidy, though some feel dated. The lovely stucco ceilings are dusty and not being maintained. In the middle apartment, flies covered the kitchen light, and the electric grill we wanted to use was broken, so we had to cook inside. It didn’t help that the large balcony window in the middle kitchen couldn’t be opened.
The modern living and dining room was a great place to unwind at the end of the day. The rest was just okay for a weekend with the whole family. A kitchen that small is a bit limiting, and one bathroom for eight people isn’t ideal.
It’s a little out of the way, but Rostock, Karl's Strawberry Farm, and Warnemünde are all 20 km away and easy to reach by bike. There’s a sauna, though it could do with a more thorough cleaning.
