The hotel and rooms for conferences and weddings are available to rent in this privately owned castle, which has belonged to the same family for several hundred years. They make their own honey and beer at the brewery. It's a great spot for walking around Büdingen or heading to the wine festival.

The main tower is especially lovely to admire, and the architecture here is an incredible achievement. This particular castle dates back to the 1800s and has a huge courtyard to explore. There’s a cafe and restaurant here too. The town has an incredible history, with buildings and walls dating back to the 1300s. It's a fantastic place to visit.

The town is quaint and medieval, and Krone restaurant is well worth a visit. The castle is stately and historic, with friendly, attentive staff. Krista arranged a guided tour and was very informative, quite the local historian.

It's a very interesting medieval village. If you're driving, park just outside the walls and walk in, since parking inside isn't worth trying. And remember, this is Germany, so unfortunately no store will take credit cards. I couldn't even get a coffee!

Everyone made our wedding feel just perfect, and the redhead and I will always be grateful. We got married in the chapel, held the reception at the restaurant under the big tree in the courtyard, and spent the night in the honeymoon suite.
