We had dinner on the terrace, where the setting was magnificent. The food was a delight to look at and eat, with so much sourced locally. It was classic cooking with an original, innovative touch, and the superb local wines were a perfect match.

The views are incredible, even looking toward my former favorite, the Rebstock, and the drive up to the top of the mountain is fabulous. Bergfreidel became my only place to stay after I discovered it. I used to travel to Germany (Buhl) once or twice a year for ten or fifteen years, and this is still my favorite place in the area. It’s a very friendly, welcoming family-run business, with absolutely fabulous food!

The service was very hospitable. Our waiter really did her best to explain the menu and accommodate us. The restaurant has a beautiful view and uses local ingredients. The dishes are simple but well made, and the fresh pasta was especially tasty.

The view while you eat is stunning, and the waiters are so friendly and accommodating. It’s the best food in the area, with a great vegan and regional menu :-) I love it there and try to visit as often as I can!

The accommodation was spacious, modern, and very clean, and breakfast had a lovely range of choices. We had amazing views in Buehlertal, and the friendly owners were kind enough to give us strawberries for our upcoming road trip to Italy. Would definitely recommend and return.
