Laguna-Beach-Büsum

The beds aren’t side by side, they’re arranged one behind the other, but that worked for us. The mattresses were excellent, with no sagging, and we slept very comfortably. There’s a garage in front of the house for storing things such as bicycles. For the price, this is a highly recommendable apartment. We also really appreciated the little details inside. All the cupboards and drawers close softly and quietly, so we didn’t hear anything when moving things around. The kitchen has a fridge, small dishwasher, oven, and two-burner induction cooktop, along with a coffee maker, toaster, dishes, pots, and pans. The apartment is modern, in gray and white, and gets lots of sunlight. It’s on the top floor, the second floor, and has two lovely balconies, one off the living room and one off the bedroom. The bathroom is spacious and naturally lit, with two large drawers beneath the sink that fit toiletries for two. The living room sofa is comfortable and can be made into a bed. The wall-mounted flat-screen TV swivels, so it’s easy to watch from the sofa or breakfast table. Laguna Beach is centrally located. The family-friendly lagoon and Büsum center are both an easy walk away. A small bakery van operates daily from 7 to 10 in the morning, about 100 meters from the building.

The apartments are really nice, but the owner doesn’t seem interested in turning on the heating when the weather gets chilly. The towels stay damp in the bathroom.

The house is centrally located, and the family-friendly beach takes about 15 minutes to reach on foot. The accommodation was clean and reasonably equipped, fine for a short holiday. We were there with our little ones, aged 3 and 1, and they needed their lunch break. Then two men suddenly started mowing the lawn and woke them. Lunch break over. Great timing! 👌

The apartment’s location is a real plus: the beach and town are both easy to reach on foot, there’s a bike rental place nearby, and the car was safe in its designated spot by the building. At least the place was clean. With some improvements, this could be a nice stay. As it was, the apartment door was broken when we arrived. The kitchen had enough for simple meals, but the dishwasher was dirty and didn’t get the dishes clean. The coffee maker and kettle needed descaling. We weren’t told in advance that my wife and I would have separate single beds. My mattress was so worn that I had to change position during the night to avoid back pain. The internet was practically unusable, except for a connection in the bedroom and bathroom.
