I was left really disappointed by how this was handled. Before ordering coffee, I checked whether cards were accepted and was told yes. When it came time to pay, they refused my card because the bill was under 15 euros. I even offered to pay 15 euros, but they still said no. Then they wanted me to leave my phone as a guarantee that I'd come back, or they would call the police. Over a few euros, my husband got upset, and their response to my review was to tell us not to come to the hotel instead of apologizing. We won't return anyway. I can't believe a four-star hotel would show so little customer service, politeness, humanity, or professionalism. I strongly advise foreigners to avoid the place. Sorry 😞

We stopped in for lunch at the restaurant, though we didn't stay at the hotel. The staff were warm and the service was amazing. It may have been the best restaurant meal we've had in years.

The public chargers in the parking area were unusable for us because cars with petrol engines were parked in front of them. When we asked why, we were told the stations can only be used when no petrol cars are parked there.

We spent New Year's Eve 2025 at Moselgarten and would gladly return for that warm, lovely team. The dining room's panoramic view makes for a great atmosphere, and the hotel's style feels relaxed but elegant. Food, room size and furnishings, and service were all top notch, with a great price-to-quality ratio. Warm wishes from Cologne.
