The owner is the best part, really kind and helpful. The place was clean and full of thoughtful details. It’s an upstairs apartment reached by a narrow staircase, but that and the stairs didn’t really bother us or our dog. We loved the beautiful garden and the quiet, East Frisian feel of the little house. No parties here, which we really appreciated.

This lovingly kept garden has a lovely view across the meadows, where deer come to feed early in the morning. The owner makes almost everything available, including her cute garden house and the garden furniture. The upstairs cottage is rented as a holiday apartment, though it isn’t suitable for people with mobility issues. There was everything we could need, including bath towels and kitchen linens. It’s far from an ordinary holiday home, decorated creatively and colorfully with lots of care, including a pet pig in the kitchen 🥰. You can set off in any direction to explore the area, or head to the harbor town of Ditzum for food or a drink. There are lots of artists there too, as shown by how many people took part in the Ditzum Art Days on October 26 and 27, 2024. A particularly nice owner, who’s also a painter herself. Highly recommended if you’re after something different and enjoy creativity, peace, and space.

It’s a place to relax, not a party zone. Everything felt authentic, and I was very comfortable there. The hostess was really nice. Highly recommended!
