Great location.

Our wedding weekend at Altes Backhaus in Burg in September 2025 was unforgettable. We made the most of the place from Friday through Sunday, celebrating, eating, laughing, and spending time with our friends and families. It really was a dream wedding in a dream setting, and we’re so glad we chose it. The grounds are beautifully green and peaceful, and everything is in immaculate condition. You can see the care and passion in every corner. The apartments are high quality, modern, cozy, and tastefully furnished with lovely details that fit the Spreewald region. Everyone slept wonderfully in the excellent beds, and several guests specifically mentioned how comfortable they were. Our host, Marco, deserves a special thank you. He’s warm, capable, helpful, and incredibly dedicated. We first met in summer 2024, and from then on he kept in touch with us openly and built a lot of trust. He was available throughout the weekend while still giving us complete freedom. Our guests also praised how friendly, professional, and unobtrusive he was. We enjoyed his company so much that we invited him on the boat trip, which he had arranged for us. Our wonderful wedding planner supported Marco, and the two of them worked behind the scenes to make the celebration run seamlessly. The celebration room was another highlight. Its acoustics and noise protection were excellent, so we could celebrate late into the night in September without disturbing anyone in the vacation apartments. That made a real difference to how carefree and exuberant the evening felt. The providers Marco recommended were professional, reliable, and clearly passionate about their work. They rounded out the wedding and helped make it such a complete, wonderful experience. We’re grateful we could celebrate at Altes Backhaus, and would wholeheartedly recommend the venue and host to anyone looking for a place with soul, quality, and warmth. ❤️

We stayed at the old Backhaus in September 2025 and were happy with everything. The accommodation was lovely, and the location was great. We especially enjoyed the wide-open view over nature, and were lucky enough to spot deer from the terrace. The setting is quiet and secluded, with a nice restaurant within walking distance and the nearest supermarket just a few minutes away by car. There’s also a canal access point directly across from the entrance, which is great for canoeing. The house was very well equipped. Anything we found missing was brought to us promptly. The beds were soft and comfortable, both bathrooms were modern and well fitted out, and the sauna on the grounds was a real highlight for us. Our host Marco was open and welcoming. We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back.
