Gasthof Stern

The schnitzel buffet was the highlight for us, with plenty of tasty choices and sides. Staff were quick with drinks and clearing plates, and prices felt fair. We only came for dinner, but the Gasthof Stern is right in the center of the idyllic village of Burgsinn. Its main dining room is upstairs, with several tables and a bar where football was on during our visit. There are a few other rooms for dining or private events, and the buffet was set up in one of them. The place has that rustic Bavarian/Franconian look, and the restrooms were clean and tidy. We’d happily go back if we get the chance.

Very cozy place, and the food and service are great. Typical Franconian dishes too. I’m always glad to come back.

It was a busy weekday evening, but the staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. My only complaint is that on themed days, the menu is limited to that theme. Otherwise, I had no issues and would definitely recommend it.

I thought the food was really tasty, especially my garlic schnitzel with garlic-fried potatoes and tzatziki. It smelled so strongly of garlic that someone at the next table even remarked on it. For me, that meal was worth at least 4 stars. The inn is family-run, with decent rooms and, in my opinion, good value for money.
