The rooms at Pension Williams were the warmest, most pleasant and coziest I’ve ever stayed in, and so well insulated that I heard nothing from guests above, below, or beside me. The views from the rooms are gorgeous, and it’s an excellent base for the Black Forest. Breakfast was lovely. David and his wife are fair, easygoing, and helpful; David is witty, chatty, and knows his stuff. He couldn’t do enough for guests. I’d go back in a heartbeat, and while I was there I met others who had returned from the year before.

A terrific place run by a British couple. Dogs are more than welcome, and there are several good hikes and restaurants nearby. The rooms have lovely views, and breakfast is simple but tasty and plentiful. You won’t regret staying, and you might end up making it an annual stop!

We were able to reach the forest in under 30 minutes on foot and had a wonderful day hiking through the Black Forest. Pension Williams felt lovingly run, with real attention to detail and respect for the environment. David is kind and supportive, and happy to help with requests where he can. Breakfast was included in our rate and offered a very fair range for a pension with so few rooms. We had a wonderful stay and can wholeheartedly recommend it. Thank you!

A great summer stopover, with a very friendly host, lots of parking, spacious rooms, and a lovely breakfast. The interior is a bit dated, but that adds to the cozy feel. The nightly price is more than fair.

The only thing missing is dinner at the hotel, but David makes up for it by happily driving guests to local restaurants or takeaways. The English couple who run the place are lovely, and it’s an amazing stay. I was there recently on a motorcycle trip around Europe and would have stayed the whole time if I could. Most rooms have balconies with great views. There’s an honesty bar, so you take what you like, tell them, and it goes on your bill. Breakfast is great and definitely gives you plenty of energy. 10/10, I’d absolutely recommend it!
