Zur Friedenslinde

The rooms are clean and tidy, if rather functional. The inn has good, reasonably priced food, and the staff are friendly. Smoking is allowed in the bar area. Both the rooms and restaurant offer excellent value for money.

The room was clean, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was a different story: the sausage sandwiches in the bread box were already buttered and nearly soggy by morning, probably because they'd been prepared the night before. That's unacceptable, especially during the coronavirus pandemic, though whether it's more hygienic is debatable. And I don't eat sausage for breakfast anyway :-(

The food was good, but I wouldn't recommend this room. It smelled musty, and there were leftovers from the previous guest in the toilet. There was no outside window, just an inner courtyard or something. The mattress had what I thought was mold or dirt growing on it.

The service is very good, friendly, and helpful, and the hot meals come in a pleasant atmosphere. It's a very nice, cozy place that could work for a longer stay, with large, spacious rooms. They do need some maintenance, though: holes in the walls, presumably from renovations, peeling paint, and electrical work that should be checked. Just minor issues. Highly recommended.
