Hotel Fränkischer Hof

Good.

There’s no breakfast on Mondays, which seems odd when I’m paying as a guest every day. A bakery and EDEKA are only a few minutes away on foot, though Mondays do seem to be a day off here. The rooms are clean and tidy, with rustic decor. There’s a fridge or small kitchenette, but it’s missing some dishes, cutlery, or pots. The bathroom looks very modern, though it’s quite small. It’s on a main road, so it isn’t especially quiet. There’s also a steady stream of people going to the doctor’s office and hairdresser, which makes things lively.

From an installer's point of view, this is good accommodation at a reasonable price. The room has a double stove, shower and toilet, and the washing machine is included in the accommodation price. Room cleaning is every two weeks. The lady is very pleasant, and there’s a restaurant and a doctor downstairs.

Getting coffee from the vending machine is a nuisance when the hotel is busy, since the line can mean a 3-4 minute wait. Breakfast takes some getting used to too: you have to choose your own ingredients, and there isn’t a coherent buffet. The rooms in the new building are decent and have modern amenities.
