A woman was at reception when I checked out to say goodbye. It would've been better to say welcome when guests arrive. There was no staff at reception when I arrived, just a key in an envelope. The doors and lifts were open, so anyone could enter the hotel, with no security. The restaurant and bar were closed, and there was no staff at breakfast either.

The food was delicious, the service prompt, and the atmosphere nice and clean. There are vegetarian options too. The restaurant is right by the water with a beautiful view. A must if you're visiting Celle Germany.

For 79 euros a night, 400 euros for my five-night visit, I thought this was good value. Breakfast was okay, with a good choice of cheeses and meats. The hotel is basic, with no fridge or in-room coffee and tea facilities, but it was easy to go down to reception and get one. I'll almost certainly stay here again when I visit my deutsch daughter family 👍
