Breakfast was welcome only on Sundays. The service was very rude and seemed to be available only on the day I arrived. There was a stale, moldy smell in the upstairs hallway, though not in my room.

The location worked well for me: the train station is a 10-minute walk away, and the bus stop is five minutes away. If you work near Hohenstein, it’s a good place to stay. The staff are very welcoming, and on weekends they may ask where you’re headed and offer a lift if they’re going that way. It’s a comfortable place.

There was parking right outside the house. My room was small, but clean and functional, and the bathroom was very well kept.

It still feels like DDR standards, with old beds and noise at the front. That may not be bad in itself, but it doesn’t feel up to date anymore.
