The Bier garden downstairs is a separate business, but it was just as good as the suite. The food was great, service was quick, and the staff were friendly. We stayed in a suite with loads of space, excellent air con, firm comfortable mattresses, and everything was super clean. It made our weekend.

The location is great, and breakfast is decent. The room itself is pretty basic, though, and it gets stuffy in summer because there’s no proper ventilation. Opening the window isn’t really an option either, since it’s right by the street and passing cars are very noisy.

We were travelling from Budapest to Switzerland with our standard poodle and got a warm welcome. They showed us two rooms, so we could pick the more spacious one. It was very clean and quiet. The hotel’s restaurant downstairs served great food, and the people running the place and the restaurant staff were lovely and helpful. Only one side of the hotel faces the slightly busy road. Thank you.

We stopped for lunch during our bike ride around Chiemsee. The food was delicious, the waiter was really nice, and we barely had to wait.
