My husband had a heart attack while driving with me and was airlifted to a hospital over an hour away. We cancelled our reservation right away, more than 48 hours before check-in, but they wouldn't refund what we'd prepaid.

The location is perfect, and the place is clean, comfortable, and charming, with a nice breakfast. It feels a bit dated and there's no AC. Hotel guests get free wine tastings, and the terraces are reserved for guests, so there's always a place to sit and enjoy the scenery.

The receptionist was so considerate. We couldn't check in on time because of the timing, but she kindly let us stay even though we arrived very late, and we sorted everything out in the morning. We forgot her name, but she knows who she is, and thanks again! The hotel is close to Cochem castle and breakfast was great. Kudos to her. We'd definitely stay again if we get the chance.

We had a wonderful four-day stay, and there were always seats on the terrace to enjoy the river view since it's for hotel guests only. We forgot our passports, but Bernd was amazing about sending them straight to us and reassuring us they were on their way. Thanks for a good experience!

We came back with the family for Easter brunch, the breakfast buffet. The ambience, quality, and price were very good. Service could definitely be better, though. After three hours of breakfast service, they were done. The owners should invest in employees, especially in high season. I wouldn't make it my first choice next time.
