The rooms were cozy and clean, though the bathrooms are small, understandably given the building. The open shower sends water across the whole bathroom. Keeping the pressure low helps, but then rinsing off, especially washing my hair, is uncomfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the Mosel view from our room was stunning. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality in a cozy, nicely decorated space. Still, it was frustrating that smokers sometimes made the terrace unpleasant during breakfast. Some guests smoked several cigarettes, dropped butts into the plants and flicked ash onto the ground. There were no ashtrays on the tables, which seemed intended to discourage smoking, but the staff saw what was happening and didn't intervene. The smoke and smell spoiled the atmosphere, and on beautiful days we sometimes felt we had to eat inside. I think breakfast should have a no smoking policy. It’s about a 20-25 minute walk to the town center, manageable in good weather. Parking beside the hotel is limited to about 12 cars. If it's full, the hotel helps find other spots farther away, though they aren't ideal. Driving into town can also mean losing your spot when you return and having to look again in the evening. It was a great but rather pricey stay, particularly if you want to use all the wellness facilities. Almost everything costs extra, there are no reduced rates for guests, and the room prices are already quite high, so the bill climbs quickly. We had a very enjoyable time despite a few downsides. It's a lovely choice if you want to treat yourself in Cochem, enjoy beautiful views, and don't mind spending a bit more.

We won't recommend this hotel because the receptionist was very unfriendly when we arrived. The first room they offered was far below what we expected for the price. If an upgrade is advertised as included in a package, there shouldn't be room for a discussion about availability. The modern room we moved to after the first night was the quality we had expected for what we paid.

A lovely place for a getaway, with three kinds of saunas, a nice indoor pool, and excellent massages. Our room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, with lots of choices, including healthy and vegan friendly options. The staff were so helpful, and left a birthday cake for me along with welcome wine and chocolate.

The atmosphere was so pleasant, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Everyone was friendly, and we felt completely at ease during our stay. We look back on our time there very fondly.

We had a fantastic weekend for our 23rd wedding anniversary. The hotel sits on a hill with a magnificent view of the Moselle and Cochem's beautiful castle. Everyone made us feel welcome, and our room was comfortable and so quiet. We really enjoyed the wine tasting tour led by the owner in nearby vineyards. The hotel even provides a backpack and a metal gourd to fill with cold water in the spa area. The evening meal included in our Well&wine special weekend was excellent, and we spent lovely evenings on the terrace and in the modern bar, where there was live piano on Saturday. The spa, garden, and peace room were relaxing, and the continental breakfast was simply gorgeous, with plenty of choices. Everything was organized to perfection to make guests comfortable. Definitely a must if you plan a trip to thé Moselle.
