Art Hotel Kv Ln

We booked two family rooms for four adults and two children, but on arrival we were given two twin rooms with only four beds. When we asked where the kids were meant to sleep, we were told they could share our beds, or we'd have to pay for another room if they needed beds of their own. The woman on duty wouldn't do anything, so we had to provide our own airbed for the children. There was no bike parking either, despite what the listing said. We weren't offered a refund so we could go elsewhere. Seriously disappointing.

The rooms are comfortable, though basic, and the shower is powerful enough to make the towels feel like exfoliators. Reception isn't open around the clock, but they gave us an outside door key for returning after the receptionist had left. Getting a car through the narrow entrance to the rear car park was tricky.

After a long trip I went to my room to sleep. About an hour after arriving, while I was asleep, a service man unlocked the door with master keys. I hadn't put out a "do not disturb" sign, but why would I need one so soon after checking in? I thought that sign was mainly for letting housekeeping know about the next day's cleaning. He kept coming in even after I said hello. What was he trying to do in my room? I was alone. If my wife had been there, I would certainly have gone to the police. The hotel administration reacted with carelessness, rudeness and lies about what happened. They didn't apologize or compensate me. I advise people not to stay here.

For dinner, there are nearby steakhouse and Italian restaurants where you can eat without spending too much, and the 160 bus stop is only a few meters away. The hotel is simple, clean and quiet, and I like it. Breakfast has a sensible range, including jam, breads, cereals, cheese and yogurt. Reception isn't open 24 hours, so I'd email ahead to ask how to get in after hours.
