Callas Hotel am Dom

The location was the only good thing for us. We booked a room with a Terrance, but got a corner room with no Terrance or view. There was no kettle, tea, or coffee in the room, and we were told we could buy tea or coffee at reception. When we tried, reception refused. The family room had no facilities. Breakfast cost 20 per person for a very limited selection: two juices and one bread option with jam and boiled eggs. There wasn't even a coffee machine in the cafeteria. Staff gave us only one key, and there was no latch on the door, which felt like a security problem. They said there was a locker for luggage, but bags were kept outside by reception, which felt risky. I would never recommend this place to families with kids.

The central location was good, but I couldn't get a quiet night's sleep. The room had no air conditioning remote, so I had to leave the window open all night, and the bells rang every 15 minutes. At 03:40, the people next door came back very loudly, banging doors and walking around in heels on the wooden floor. After crying and falling over, they went back out. Around 04:30 they returned and made more noise, then spent what felt like ages in the toilet talking about their night out. We had to get up at 07:00 for our flight home. Breakfast wasn't the world's best, but the coffee helped wake us up for the travel day. One more thing: if you leave a complimentary drink in the fridge, please include a bottle opener so the cold water can help with the heat.

We told the receptionist the AC remote was missing, but he didn't do anything. The room was really warm in Mai. It was good and clean otherwise.

Basic rooms, but clean, comfortable, and safe, with nothing wrong with them. The location and price are both great, and the people at the desk were super friendly and helpful. Step outside and the cathedral and high-streets are right there. I'd stay again for the convenience and price.
