Cityfair Apartments Köln

This was one of the worst stays I've had. I booked through Booking.com thinking it would be a safe, nice place, but the apartment description didn't match reality. The staff and customer service assistant were extremely rude and not helpful. The bed sheets and bathroom were dirty, and there was no washing machine even though Booking.com said there would be one. I spent over 1k and left the next day. Never again, and I would not recommend this place.

The noise was a problem: the apartment is right by the train line, and on Fridays at 7am the bins were banged up the stairs from the basement for collection. The host was very rude. The place was in awful condition and very dirty. The bath looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months, with scum around the bath and shower area. I even wrote “clean me” with a wet wipe. There were missing bed slats, a stained mattress and mould on the walls, just a few of the issues. I wouldn't stay here again. If no stars had been an option, I would have chosen that.

The owner stopped responding right after check-in, and the apartment was gross, with everything broken. It would be faster to list the things that still work than all the broken things, that's how bad it was. Even if it's cheap, it's scandalous to rent the place out in this condition. One star is already too generous. Do not rent here.

For six people staying six days, the flat felt cramped. There was just one bathroom, with no cabinets, and the shower had no enclosure, so water soon flooded out. There wasn't anything available for coffee or a quick breakfast.
