Classic Hotel Harmonie

My room had a gorgeous little balcony, and I loved the full-length mirrors with beauty lighting. They were so handy for doing my makeup before work each morning, and I wish more hotels had them. The layout was stylish, everything felt spacious and wonderfully clean. This is genuinely my favourite hotel I've ever stayed in. Absolutely gorgeous, and I'll definitely come back ❤️

Avoid absolutely. We'd booked several double rooms two months ahead, with payment due at check-in according to the order form. A few days before arrival, the hotel threatened to cancel unless we paid in advance. To avoid trouble, I paid and sent proof, but there were no rooms for us when we arrived. The hotel had clearly overbooked, since several other clients were in the same position. We asked for our money back and had to find another solution ourselves. I've never had such a bad booking experience.

We stayed four nights in a Grand Deluxe Double Room, expecting a more comfortable, better equipped stay. The room was spacious and clean, with some nice touches: Rituals toiletries, slippers, robes and a GHD hairdryer. But it didn't quite live up to the category or price. There was no in-room tea or coffee setup, which we'd expected, just a chargeable minibar and no kettle. Worse, the air conditioning didn't work. Reception staff were polite and tried to help by bringing a fan, but the room stayed uncomfortably hot throughout. Breakfast was included, but at the usual €22 per person price we found it underwhelming. It was basically a simple continental spread, with only mini sausages and very salty scrambled eggs as hot options. Plenty of better choices are available at local cafes and restaurants within a 20-minute walk. The hotel currently serves breakfast only, though there's a small bar near reception. It was easy to communicate with the staff, and several spoke excellent English, which we appreciated. The website, on the other hand, wasn't user-friendly and didn't give much detail. It didn't mention or show a pool, gym or outdoor area, and nobody told us about any during our stay. There were helpful staff and some nice touches, but the missing basics, poor air conditioning and limited food options let us down.

It was my first time in Germany, and I don't speak any German, so I really appreciated how kind and helpful the staff were. The rooms were so clean too. Thanks for a great stay.
