Hostel Köln

The location and terrace were both great, and the rooms were clean with bathrooms that looked almost new. Breakfast really stood out. We’d just stayed at a 3 star hotel that didn’t serve anything as good, and there was plenty to choose from, including a full vegan side buffet. Two busy bars are right downstairs, so the rooms on that side get very noisy. There’s not much they can do about that. Bring earplugs, and avoid a bed by the windows if you can. It was fine for me, though, since I live in a busy big city. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in.

I’ve stayed in more than 30 hostels, and this is one of the best. The staff were attentive, everything looked clean and lovely, and the breakfast buffet felt like something from a 5 stars hotel. Even the private bathroom looked really fancy for a hostel. Congrats, I’ll definitely come back if I’m in the city again.

The room was very clean, and breakfast was amazing. You can leave your luggage there for free too. The noise is a real problem, though. Even with earplugs, you can hear everything happening upstairs and next door.

The staff were really good, and the employees were so nice and friendly. We also appreciated having parking, although we scratched our car when opening the back because there are low beams. The garage is tiny, and our mid size Kia almost didn’t fit. The location is amazing for visiting Köln, and the price is great for what you get. We went with friends for the Christmas markets. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was fine, just not amazing. The blankets felt a bit thin for winter, and you can hear the parties outside, but that’s to be expected so close to bars.
