Hotel Gertrudenhof is near the city center and surrounded by plenty of places to eat. From Rodenkirchen train station, it's about a 10-minute walk or a 2-minute bus ride. The owner is welcoming and the staff are very nice. The dining area still has furnishings from the 50s, which antique fans should enjoy. I liked my two-night stay.

We spent a week here and stayed in two different rooms. The second was smaller, but it was still a great place to stay. Both rooms had lovely views, and the showers worked really well. Breakfast was great too, and the service was exceptional.

Gertrudenhof is a small, welcoming hotel, and I had a really pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and the service was good. My room was spotless, and I especially enjoyed the wonderful breakfast each morning.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms had plenty of space. Just be aware that the staircases are narrow, which could be a hassle if you’re travelling with big bags. I’d come back.
