The owner was pleasant, and the rooms were clean. It's a quiet spot about 30 minutes from the city centre, with at least two supermarkets roughly a 10-minute walk away.

The host family made us feel welcome and were always easy to reach. The room was cozy, with lots of wood and a modern bathroom. Lovely atmosphere, and a peaceful location. We'd happily come back and recommend it.

David was quick to reply to our emails, usually within minutes, and greeted us warmly when we arrived, along with the sweet family dog. He showed us the room, answered our questions, and took time to point out good places in Cologne. We also had plenty of water and fruit in the room. That felt like real service. The room was tidy, and the bathroom felt like something from a 5-star hotel. Everything was clean, and we didn't have noise issues. It's in a quiet residential area, nice for evening walks. We rented the room to explore the beautiful cathedral city. From the photos, it had already made our shortlist. It's about half an hour from the city center, and the train was easy to use. The station is around five minutes away, a big help for visitors like us who aren't from Cologne. We highly recommend it, especially for couples and families. David is a lovely host, and he helped make our weekend wonderful. We'll definitely return. Thank you very much. Best regards, from and to Lorscheid
