Hotel Landhaus Gut Keuchhof

There are two great authentic german restaurants across the street, and the staff are friendly. The hotel is a charming old building, small and cute. It’s a 10 min walk to the S train station, then 15 minutes to the central train station. Trains run every 20 minutes until late evening, and an Uber ride into the city costs 15 euros. Rooms on the top/attic floor have AC, but the sloped roof makes them feel a little smaller and darker. That’s a minor trade-off if you expect to spend much time in the room.

There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, and it’s a manageable walk to RheinEnergiestadion. The location was good, and the hotel had a cozy, family-ish feel with super nice staff. The older lady handling the eggs at breakfast was really sweet. The rooms were good, though they could perhaps use a bit of paint. English was more or less nonexistent, so come prepared with a few basic German phrases.

The rooms are basic, but fine for the price. Breakfast has limited choice, though the quality is acceptable. Hotel facilities are minimal, with no bar, for example.
