Boardinghome Cologne City

Parking was the one real downside. There was no hotel parking, and public spaces were scarce, so I often had to leave the car several streets away. The apartment hotel itself was very pleasant, with spacious, bright, clean rooms where I always felt at ease and liked returning. Breakfast was tasty, good, and plentiful. It's a shame it closed and became a refugee shelter. Public funding is surely more profitable. If it ever opens as a hotel again, I'd happily return.

A really nice emergency shelter.

They paint over the mold, and then it comes back. What a surprise. The water is disgusting and seems heavily scaled, and staff inspect the rooms every day even when everything is clean. The staff are strange, and roommates are always arguing and shouting. The walls are so thin there's almost never any peace, except between 3 and 6 a.m. There's a school next door too, with kids screaming. Cologne Central Station 2.0. Junktown is alive and well ⬇️
