Dogs are allowed here, so be aware that one might be left alone in a room barking through the night. I also saw a dog brought into the dining room, sitting on a chair close to the food. If you're allergic, use your own judgment. The hotel feels badly neglected, and its three-star rating seems stuck in another era while standards have moved on over the last three decades. My room had no air conditioning, food and drink marks on the wall from earlier guests, torn curtains, and a space under the bed that looked as if it had never been cleaned. No hotel staff were available in the afternoon or at night.

For the price, the room was still acceptable and the service was okay, though limited because of the staff shortage. Breakfast was basic. Check-in was rough: I waited a full hour at the entrance, with no waiting area or toilet available for people in that situation.

In January, with -6C outside, we spent a night in a room where the heating didn't work. It was so cold that we slept wearing coats and hats, and there was nobody at reception to help. I filed an official complaint the following day. The owner said there would be a partial refund, but it never came, and reception doesn't answer calls or emails. Avoid this place if you can. It was an absolute disaster.

The village is lovely, but the hotel felt overpriced while I was there. It's family-run and they seemed to be putting in effort, yet likely overwhelmed or short-staffed. The Wi-Fi was poor, and the place felt overdone for what it is.
