Hotel Servatius Köln

The breakfast was really nice, with lots of local salads to choose from, and I liked the lobby’s mix of classic and modern design. For work, it’s a very nice place to stay, and the room was clean and practical. A taxi to Koelnmesse took only 15 minutes and arrived in about three minutes when called. I didn’t see any public transport nearby. Don’t expect much of a window view. After 9 p.m. reception closes, and you enter through the side door using a key left in a box. The hotel gives you instructions, so that wasn’t a problem. There’s no food in the hotel or nearby at night, so bring some water and food. Water and other drinks are available in a fridge on the ground floor. If you know these little details, the stay is comfortable and pleasant. My general impression was positive.

The building’s exterior doesn’t do justice to the inside. Our rooms were large and clean, and the reception had great, quirky decor. Reception and breakfast service were both great, and the whole staff were helpful. There was a good range at breakfast. Shops, restaurants, and the train station are within walking distance, and the bar stays open at night.

The location wasn’t very convenient, with public transport about 15 minutes away, so I used taxis as the quickest option. The hotel itself was comfortable, with friendly staff and tasty breakfasts. Those mini croissants were divine, the best I’ve ever had.

We felt very welcome thanks to the kind, attentive staff. The room was spacious enough, the bathroom was good, and everything was clean. Disinfectant sprays were available in the lobby and breakfast room for extra guest care. There’s free parking in front, and it’s easy to get downtown by public transport or on foot. Breakfast had plenty of options. The coffee could have been stronger for our taste, but that didn’t spoil anything. Great value for the price.
