The place was spotless and clearly well looked after. Bettina was friendly and helpful, and when a fuse tripped in my room and wouldn’t reset, they sorted it out quickly. Really beautiful little boutique hotel, and I had a great stay.

The room had a lovely design, especially the bathroom, and the surroundings were quiet. Reception was friendly too. It is a bit far from the city center, and there’s no elevator.

We came back for a second extended stay, having been here once before the pandemic and again just after. The dining room stood out: breakfast and dinner were genuinely high-end restaurant quality, not typical hotel meals. This family operated hotel is far more than a convenient airport stop with just a bed and a basic room. Service is responsive whenever something comes up, and the highway and Cologne proper are easy to reach. We wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.

My flight back to the UK was cancelled, and the staff were extremely helpful in sorting out an extension to my car rental. The hotel itself is quiet and feels homely, with clean rooms and good facilities. Very good.
