The main plus is the location. It's close to the train station and small markets like lidl, so it's handy if you need to buy something. It's fairly central, but the neighborhood felt a bit shady at night, with lots of strange homeless people hanging around, so you need to be careful. My room was cramped and very small for one person, especially for the price. The hotel is in an old, partly renovated building, and most of the rooms and elevators seem unchanged since they were built, probably in the 80s or 90s. The room was clean but dated, and I didn't like having the shower room right beside the bed. The staff were older and barely spoke English, mostly German and Italian, but they were okay.

The place was clean, but tired. If you missed 1970s decor, it's all here: a wood-panelled ceiling in the room, a chunky key you have to leave at reception, and even a Corby trouser press. I'd have given it two stars, but the excellent breakfast buffet earned another.

Worst hostel I've stayed in. I paid 85€ a night and had no internet or hot water in the shower in the morning. They gave me a small one-person bed instead of the full-size bed I'd expected. Not worth the money or the time.

The staff seemed friendly, and the hotel is close to tram line no. 4. The rooms are dated, though, and there's no air conditioning. The road beside the hotel is busy, so leaving the windows open isn't really an option.

It's a room, but the windows aren't burglar-proof. If you open them for ventilation, anyone in the hotel can get into your room by using the freely accessible fire stairs. Ventilation is necessary since there's no air conditioning.
