The room was spacious and clean, with a really comfortable bed and a small but clean bathroom. The reception staff were friendly too. We were in room 7, though, and hadn’t expected to climb four flights of stairs to reach it. The cathedral and train station are about a ten-minute walk away. We stayed one night and would come back.

The biggest issue was the really poor Wi-Fi. Otherwise, the shared bathroom was clean, and our room was fairly large and cute. The pension is right in the city centre: the cathedral is about ten minutes away, plenty of nice restaurants are walkable, and many clubs are one S-Bahn stop away.

There’s no breakfast included, but nearby bakeries and supermarkets make it easy to pick something up. The pension is close to train stations and the city centre, and the staff are friendly, though their English isn’t very fluent, which could be a problem if you don’t speak German. The street has busy nightlife and bright lights, so earplugs and a sleep mask may help. Rooms are fairly clean and tidy, and the shared bathrooms are clean but a bit small. For the price, it’s a decent stay if you know what to expect.

It’s a clean, nice place, though a long way from downtown. The neighborhood can feel a bit unusual at times and has lots of Turkish people, who I found interesting too.
