Kölner Golfclub

If you love golf, this is a great place to visit. There are lots of tournaments to choose from, and you can eat here too. I love coming here, especially to the amazing Bistro. The toilets are very clean as well.

The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, and laid out to make great use of the space. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were helpful throughout. They were attentive to guests and willing to do whatever they could to please them. I’d definitely recommend staying here, whether you’re here for golf or simply want somewhere outside the busy City center.

The course is fun to play, and as a beginner I also enjoy the practice course for sharpening my skills. The beautiful architecture welcomes golfers at every experience level. The Restaurant and ProShop are excellent, with a view of the course. There’s a little highway noise in some parts, but I love this place.

The highway noise ruins what could otherwise be a lovely day of golf. This nearby stretch has no speed limit, so the traffic is unusually loud. The club itself looks very nice, but the staff seemed disorganized and were also unfriendly. We had an 18:30 tee time and found the info desk closed, with no way to pay the green fee. A kitchen staff member assured us we could pay the next day, so I left all my contact details. When I called the following day to sort it out, I was told nobody walks into a store, takes a piece of meat, and pays later, and that I had to pay right away. That was word for word what I was told, not an exaggeration. I suppose I should be thankful for the experience. We’d gone there to try the club and see whether the membership fee was worth it.
