This is a beautiful hotel, right in the centre of everything. The reception team and the staff in the lower dining area and restaurant were amazing, so pleasant, polite, and welcoming. They couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and breakfast was amazing. We were a party of eight, and all of us had a lovely couple of hours downstairs. The problem was the bar at the top of the hotel. The bartender was very rude to all of us. It was empty when we arrived, but he gruffly asked if we’d booked, then told us to wait while he checked the book. He came back and put us on the window cill seats, saying that was all he had. When my husband politely asked if they had lager, the bartender sternly said you will not find lager in Germany atall, then walked away. He handed us the cocktail menu, warned us that the drinks were very expensive, and sneered. We’d had enough, so we went back downstairs. Apart from that very rude man upstairs, all the staff were wonderful. We’d definitely return, just not to the top bar.

Reception staff were so friendly and made my stay really pleasant. My room was beautiful, spacious, and extremely clean, with a king size bed, a balcony, and drinks included. One of the best hotels I’ve visited.

Nearby there are restaurants, groceries, bars, and plenty more. The breakfast buffet was excellent, the service was good, and the rooms were nice. It took about 10-15min to walk to the cathedral. There was road work while we were there, but besides that, my experience at Pullman was fantastic.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the carnaval party. We were lucky to get a view of the cologne cathedral from the hotel. It’s close to the central train station and all the main areas, so the location couldn’t be better. I’d absolutely recommend it.

We got a great price for what we received, and I’d stay again. The room was comfortable and very clean, with a great view. The reception staff we dealt with were amazing, very polite, and really helpful.
