Weltempfänger Hostel

The staff were lovely and really helpful. Getting into the city center is easy, with public transport right by the door, and it's also not too far to walk. The route has very nice views and a nice neighborhood. The place is simple but has what you need, and the price felt good for the quality. Noise from the bar downstairs could bother light sleepers or people staying longer.

I liked staying in a more local neighborhood, with a park and some nice coffee shops nearby, even if it is a bit far from the cathedral. The hostel rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and the kitchen was big. They put out a generous amount of bread and cheese in the morning. Hanging out in the kitchen was a good way to make a few friends. I'd stay again.

For one budget night in a shared dorm, it was perfectly fine, and I'd have no problem staying again. The bedrooms were cozy and very clean, and the staff were friendly. A train stop right outside made it easy to get into town and back, which is why I chose it along with the very low price. The hostel itself is small and cramped, especially the shared kitchen, and the toilet and shower rooms felt tiny too. The bar/cafe beside and beneath it made quite a bit of noise, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. I also had trouble finding the main entrance because there wasn't much signage when I visited.

In Ehrenfeld, this small hostel sits in a lively neighborhood. The receptionist was very nice, the room was clean, and there's a large communal kitchen.
